Alumni Court
This pleasantly peaceful fountain and its surrounding
area were constructed with donations from the class of 1968. The court
contains a maple tree from the estate of Carl Sandburg in Flat Rock,
North Carolina. Sandburg's wife presented the sapling to an alumna after
the Alumni Committee posthumously presented Sandburg with the Great American
Award for 1967. The Alumni Association planted and marked the tree in
1968.
