Northern Illinois University has been a member of the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (IPHEC) since its inception in 1978. A goal of the Procurement Office is to actively participate in the process of developing cooperative agreements on behalf of the thirteen member campuses of the state universities of Illinois.
