Calendar of important dates regarding parking at NIU:
Please note that permits
are required, and all parking regulations are enforced, unless otherwise noted
below. If you have any questions or concerns regarding parking rules and regulations,

May 5, 2008: summer parking permits go on sale.
May 19, 2008 - August 15, 2008 –
any color student permit can park in any student lot.
May 26, 2008 (Memorial Day): Permits are not
required in non-reserved parking spaces. All other parking regulations are
enforced.
June 2, 2008: Faculty/staff annual parking permits go on sale.
June 9, 2008 - Campus Parking
Services open Monday though Thursday only.
July 14, 2008: Student reserved space call in day
for fall 2008. Reserved spaces may be available at an additional
fee. We start accepting reservations on a first-come, first-served
basis beginning at 7:15 a.m. To reserve your space, call our office at (815) 753-1045.
If you receive a recorded message, please leave your name and phone number and
we will notate the time you called so that you do not lose your place in line
for a reservation. A customer service representative will call you back as soon
as possible to confirm your reservation.
July 21, 2008: Student fall and annual parking permits go on sale online at www.niu.edu/parking. Permits will be available to purchase in person at Campus Parking Services beginning August 4th, 2008.
August 4, 2008: Student fall and
annual permits go on sale at the Campus Parking Services office if you would
like to purchase your permit in person. Permits are also available online at www.niu.edu/parking.
August 15, 2008: Campus Parking
Services resumes normal lobby hours, including Fridays.
August 21, 2008: Move-in day
August 25, 2008: Fall semester
begins. To better serve you,
we have extended hours the week of 8/25/08 through 8/29/08:

are enforced.
